Uzay Yasar, MD

Uzay Yasar grew up in upstate New York and went to college at the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in Chemical Engineering. He earned his medical degree at the State University of New York in Brooklyn. He then completed his urology residency at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio in 2002.

After practicing urology in California for several years, he saw how his patients benefitted from minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and in 2008 began specialty training in robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He completed fellowship training at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He moved back to northern California in 2009 and practiced in Santa Rosa, performing his robotic surgery at Marin General Hospital.

In January 2011 he joined McHenry Medical Group (Greater Modesto Medical Surgical Associates) and accepted the position of Director of Robotic Surgery for Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, California. He is board certified in urology and a member of the American Urological Association.
